Reports suggest that Jermaine Pennant’s £60,000 per week wage demands have scuppered a move to Real Madrid and Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce could be ready to be reunited with the former Birmingham winger.
In an ironic twist, Real boss Juande Ramos could be set to move for Wigan’s Antonio Valencia as an alternative to the Liverpool man.
Bruce is said to be ready to step in with a six month loan move with the option of a permanent deal next Summer for the 25 year old.
