Injury update: Torres and Gerrard

Rafael Benitez has stated that both Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard could be fit and ready for the Manchester United fixture on September 13th at Anfield. Both are reportedly back in light training this week.
Torres is fighting to recover from a hamstring tear suffered against Aston Villa at the weekend while chasing a wayward pass from Javier Mascherano. Meanwhile, Gerrard is recovering from a minor groin operation which he underwent last Thursday.
“Both players are now back jogging and will be out for ten to twelve days,” said Benitez.
“Gerrard might be back before Torres but you never know.”
