Reports today claim that Liverpool and Tottenham are tracking Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez.

Harry Redknapp has already been linked with moves for Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano and Juventus’ Vincenzo Iaquinta, but is reported to have identified Lisandro Lopez as the man he needs to push Spurs on up the table and in Europe.

Lyon are thought to be willing to let Lopez leave this winter if they receive an offer of around £14m for the 27-year-old Argentine.

Roy Hodgson has stated his desire to add more striking talent to his squad with only Fernando Torres and David N’Gog at his disposal.

I think we been looking for the best striker to help him up front mr. Torres and we don’t need to go to the London court to bring him down to anfield ok just do it.
