Roy Hodgson has confirmed that the club are in talks with Fulham regarding the potential signing of Paul Konchesky.

Hodgson has been looking to bring in a left-back since taking over the reigns at Anfield and hopes to finalise a swoop for his former defender from Craven Cottage.

“We had discussions with Fulham about whether they were prepared to sell any of their players and I would be lying if I said Paul was not a name we considered,” said Hodgson, from Turkey ahead of the Trabzonspor game.

“Whether or not there is a chance of business is still very much up in the air.”

I like Konchesky but I do not think that he is good enough for a top 4 team which is the minimum that Liverpool should be aiming for.
