Rafael Benitez is expected to make a renewed attempt at signing Brazilian striker Keirrison this Summer after failing with a late January move for the youngster.

And the exciting young talent has declared his readiness to leave his homeland recently by stating: “In Brazil I do not feel respected, I am ready to leave.”

The 20 year old’s form for Palmeiras has alerted top European clubs, notably Liverpool and Barcelona, and the prodigal talent has indicated where he would prefer to move to: “I would really like to play alongside Lionel Messi, he is the best player in the world.” he told Sport.

“Since I was very young I have wanted to play in a country and with a great club and, while I have nothing against any others, I have always identified with Barcelona.”

“I have seen a lot of games when Romario and Ronaldo were there and that made me dream that one day I would play in a great club like Barcelona.”

Liverpool are just one of a list of interested clubs which includes Arsenal, Olympiakos, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.

Unfortunately for Benitez, a January transfer window move to Anfield could not be completed due to his complicated contractual situation.

The player’s contract is owned by Palmeiras (20%) and Traffic Sports Marketing (80%) thus a deal would involve a number of parties and drawn out negotiations – which there was no time for in January.

Last season Keirrison scored an 20 goals in just 31 League appearances. This came after scoring 12 goals in 32 League appearances, of which only 18 were starts, in his first season.

Since joining Palmerias the striker has also scored 6 goals in 11 Copa Libertadores and league matches.

pls, play other goalkeepers instead of him cos he is dodgy. A replace is the best option.
