Guillem Balague believes that Valencia will struggle to keep hold of several of their top stars – whether they qualify for the Champions League or not. And Liverpool could be on the teams to benefit from that with David Silva being lined up for a sensational switch to Anfield.

The Euro 2008 winner has already attracted interest from giants in European football with Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus all linked with the midfield schemer.

Writing in his column on Skysports.com, Balague revealed: “Fernando Gomez, Valencia’s Director of Football, has basically said they will not be able to keep David Silva and David Villa.”

“They will try to keep one but the general idea is to find finances from their sales. They are in a really bad way financially.”

“Villa has been linked with Barcelona – although some papers claim Perez wants him at Real – while Silva is likely to go to either Juventus or Liverpool.”

I think Silva would be a great buy for LFC, as we need a genuine winger to improve the sides attacking options.

Definitely.

I’d love to see Silva sign for us.
