Brazilian striker Keirrison has admitted that he would be interested in a move to Barcelona, but AC Milan have also entered the race to sign the forward.

Rafael Benitez is reported to have made a move to replace Robbie Keane with the fledgling talent in January, but the youngster seems to prefer Barcelona.

Speaking on Brazilian talk show Bem Amigos alongside Brazilian striking legend Ronaldo, Keirrison admitted he is keen to move to Spain.

“I have a contract with Palmeiras and I want to see it out, but you never know what will happen in football,” he said.

“If I was to pick a team to join from Europe, I would like to play for Barcelona, like Ronaldo and Romario.”

“It would be great to play in Spain.”

Current AC Milan technical director Leonardo called into the show and admitted the Milanese club had entered the race for the striker.

“The reason for my call is not to speak to Ronaldo,” he said. “I wanted to call Keirrison.”

“Ronaldo has already played for Milan and scored goals – now it is time for Keirrison.”

“It impresses me that he can score with his left and score with his right.”

“He has the ability to dribble and has a perfect touch.”
