The Daily Mail are reporting that American billionaire Robert Kraft has no intention of bidding for a stake in Liverpool, despite reports that he was set to offer £270million for George Gillett’s 50% stake in the club.

The American tycoon was reportedly set to offer his expertise to Liverpool’s new stadium plans before Hicks and Gillett arrived, but he never intended to purchase a stake in the club.

Kraft is already owner of American football team New England Patriots and Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution and has stated that he believes that is enough to keep him busy after reports linked him with a move for Gillett’s 50% share yesterday.
