Spanish winger Albert Riera has branded Manchester United as “lucky” in the title race after a weekend of late goals which cost Liverpool in the title race.

“I don’t like to talk too much in football about teams being lucky, but at the moment Manchester United are scoring goals in the last minutes and we’ve now conceded a late goal,” Riera told the Daily Express.

“At least we’re still on the same points as United and you can be sure we are going to keep on fighting them.

“We’re not finished yet, we’ll keep on going – and we’re still confident.”

Manchester recently scored an injury-time winner at Bolton, a late winner at Stoke and also a deflected injury-time strike ended up being put in the net to beat Sunderland 1-0.

The luck of Champions? It certainly looks like it…
