The Daily Mail are reporting that Jermaine Pennant’s wage demands caused a dream move to Real Madrid to collapse last night.

The winger apparently demanded £60,000 per week to move to the Bernabeu, but the Spanish club were only offering a maximum of £30,000 a week to the frozen out winger.

And after seeing the collapse of that move, Pennant could now be set to choose a loan move to either Wigan or Stoke after each club lodged an interest in the Englishman.

Real Madrid were not happy to negotiate the wages on offer to the winger and are believed to have closed the deal when Pennant’s agent came back with the demands.
