Rumour has it that Dubai Investment Capital are back in full negotiation with Tom Hicks and George Gillett in a bid to buy the club.

According to those that claim to know this, the Americans have come to the conclusion that they can take the club no further on constant loans and are looking to sell the club before they get into more debt.

Tom Hicks has been the stumbling block previously as he has been unwilling to sell up, but word has it that he has finally come round to the prospect of letting his ownership go…but only if the deal suits him.

George Gillett has been said to want out for some months now, but does not want to sell to his co-owner.

Fans around the world will be hoping this rumour is true.

Please tell me this is the truth, with man city getting there money, we need a backer with cash. We don’t need the American placing us in more debt. Come and get us DIC please.

I think there might be some truth in this as I believe DIC will be stung into action by the takeover of Man City by ADUG(regarded as a rival in business terms).
