Finnan reverts retirement decision by lfctalk

Giovanni Trapattoni has persuaded right-back Steve Finnan to reverse his decision to retire from the Irish national side and has included him in his squad for the friendly against Norway in Oslo next week.

Trapattoni told the Football Association of Ireland website: “I am happy that Steve Finnan has agreed to return to international football. He is an experienced player and he still has a lot to give to the team.

The side will be captained by new Red Robbie Keane.
