The People are claiming that Roy Hodgson will make a January move for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young.

The England international is reported to have put off contract negotiations with Villa since Martin O’Neill’s departure in August and could be keeping his options open having been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and now Liverpool.

Hodgson is said to have been given a £30m transfer kitty for January and has earmarked his attack as an area that needs serious redevelopment.
