Reports this weekend suggest that Roy Hodgson will make a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Carlos Salcido before the transfer window closes.
The Mexican international has long been linked with an exit from the Dutch club, but so far nothing has materialised – but Hodgson believes that he can forge ahead with a deal for the big-hitting left-back.
The 30 year old would jump at the chance to move to Anfield, according to the reports.

It will be a PSV double with Toivonen and this lad, two very good players.
