Winger Paul Anderson has made his loan move to Nottingham Forest a permanent one after signing a three year deal for £250,000.
The youngster never made the step up to the first-team at Anfield, but he believes he could be in line for top-flight football with his new club.
“Everyone’s ambition is to play in the Premiership and play at the highest level possible and I think we’re going to do that at this club.” he said.
“The ambition I’ve seen and the players I’ve seen at the club, there’s no reason why in the next couple of years we can’t be up in the Premiership.”
“I’d love to go back to Anfield one day and show them what they have missed out on really.”
Anderson, who scored two goals in 28 appearances for Forest last season, turned down the chance to sign for Swansea City.
He arrived at Anfield from Hull City in January 2006 but failed to live up to expectations and never made a competitive first team appearance.
