Former Liverpool full-back is set to make a quick return to the Premiership after Hull had a £1.5m bid accepted by Espanyol for the Irish defender.

Finnan only left Anfield in the Summer for a new challenge in La Liga with the Barcelona based club. Unfortunately injury has meant he’s only managed to make four appearances for them so far this season.

Phil Brown will be pleased if he can pull off this deal to secure the experienced former European champion to add more quality to his defence after a sticky patch of form.
