The Daily Mail are reporting that Emile Heskey has agreed to join Liverpool in the Summer once his contract expires with Wigan.

The former Red has chosen the move ahead of several other options available to him, including Aston Villa and remaining at the JJB Stadium.

Rafael Benitez is happy to wait until the Summer to secure the signing rather than pay £4m now to bring him to the club six months early.

The England international left the club in 2004 shortly before Rafael Benitez took over as manager.
